We are pleased to confirm that works to install an onsite rooftop solar array are set to commence at The Village Upper Mount Gravatt.
The onsite solar system will reduce grid electricity consumption, delivering on-demand, reliable and clean energy to the Centre, providing relief to the local energy network and lowering The Village Upper Mount Gravatt’s carbon emissions.
Works will commence in mid-August, and while it is still too early to confirm exact timings, we expect the project to be complete by early 2023.
The Village Upper Mount Gravatt will remain open as usual throughout these works.
As part of our commitment to responsible project management, we have developed a comprehensive project management plan that aims to minimise the impact of these installation works on our community.
As part of this plan, and to allow these works to be undertaken safely and efficiently, small sections of the ground level and basement 1 car park will be temporarily closed for the duration of the installation.
This includes the temporary closure of the Ambulance Bay and disabled parking spaces in the ground level car park.
During this time, the Ambulance Bay and disabled parking spaces will be relocated and additional signage will be installed throughout the car park to help our community navigate during this time.
We thank our community for their patience during these works, and we look forward to sharing further updates with you as we reach key milestones.
